Paete, Laguna Trip

Last July 24-25, me, jonas, watcher, ruther, asther and robin went to Asther’s place in Paete, Laguna because it was their hometown fiesta. At first, I was hesitant to go with them thinking that I will not be available that day and I also want Jonas to tag along with us. The day before we go, I texted him if he’s not busy and if he wants to go with us. And without a second thought, he agreed to join.

We left the bus station in Cubao at 3.12 in the afternoon. It was a quite long trip. While on the way, I enjoyed myself looking on the sideroads for cars and endless sky. When we got to the countryside I can’t help but sigh because one of the things I want while travelling is seeing farms, trees and farmhouses. It so nice being out of the city. If we were not riding an aircon bus, I will inhale the smell of the province. I just love it.

We arrive at Paete around 7.00pm. We were immediately greeted with Ar’s relatives and her mom already prepared dinner for us. And since we were all starving, after putting our bag down, we immediately gather at the dining table and enjoyed the sumptous meal. And as far as I can remember there were food like Chicken Adobo (which is my ultimate favorite), inihaw na tilapya, and dinuguan.

We also went to the Fair after dinner and played some games though we kept on losing, we still had fun. When we got back to Asther’s house, Ar came out with a Bar Vodka and Jonas brought a card. So we played cards all night while listening to our phone’s mp3. At first, i was just looking at them while they played ‘tong-its’ but afterwards, they already teach me how to play it as well. Im too proud to say, that the next time they play it, I will be part of the players as well. We slept at around 1am.

After like 4 hours of sleeping, we got up early because we will trek the mountain. Asther’s mom again prepared food for us to bring. We had cooked rice, tocino and salted eggs. We were all excited because we want to trek the mountain and it will surely be an adventure. As for me, I was silently praying that I can do it since it will be my first time to do hiking. At first, I thought it was easy but as we ascend, the path going to the top gets a little difficult. It was really tiring but whenever i see trees and hear the sound of the streams nearby our tiredness is dissolves.

Finally, after like an hour of walking we reach the top of the mountain and we were able to reach the ‘THREE CROSS’ and the view there is spectacular. We can see Laguna de bay there and the rest of Asther’s hometown below, and we also took lots of pictures and videos courtesy of Ruther’s digicam and Watcher’s phone.

Then after that, we trek again going to Asther’s uncle hut nearby, oops it’s not really near because it was like another hour of walking but no more climbing this time. When we reach the place we prepared our breakfast and again ate. It was awesome it was my first time to eat in banana leaf using barehands and drinking buko juice afterwards. It waslike back to nature. And after that, we took a bath to the nearby brook. It was so small but it was fun when we drenched ourselves there.

Going back to the town is much easier. Though,we should be careful because the pathway is steeper. And we did it! We were able to go back to Asther’s place tired and happy. After lunch time, resting and taking our bath me, jonas and watcher already prepared to leave since watcher and i still have work the following day and jonas still have to catch with his college friends invites to go to a concert.

That experience was awesome. I just love it. Maybe next time,we can still go back. Thanks much to Ar for inviting us.Ü

My first body massage experience

The title doesn’t seem right but I think that fits well for this blog. Hehe…I just had my first body massage experience last Thursday (04June2009) when my bestfriend, Jonas, took me to this posh spa spot along Roxas blvd. named ‘Wensha Spa.’ I don’t know what Wensha means but I first heard about the place also from Jonas when he shared his previous experience on this place.

At first, I really don’t know where we are heading. I just received a text from him during my lunch time since I was still in the office that time. The sms goes like this, “bhes pamassage tayo…”. Heck, I am not really fond of massage since I always believe that I am ticklish person and I might kick the masseur who is going to touch my body. Anyways, I still agree to go with him. I even cancelled the supposed to be bonding/sopas day at Asther and Kristel’s apartment that day, causing Ruther to get a bit ‘tampo’ at me. But Ruther, the always understanding person that he is, still allow me to go. So nice of them really.

So there, Jonas and I met at McDo Q.Ave. He was late but I still understand since the rain is really pouring. We rode the MRT and I was asking him, where we are really going and he just said that we are going somewhere out there near Bagaberde Bar. So i was thinking if Bagaberde Bar is open during daytime or if someone again invited him to some event and that’s a good thing because if ever I can eat for free since my stomach and intestines are already complaining due to hunger but Jonas assure me that I don’t have anything to worry about because the place we are going to has lots of food. And that is enough to make me excited.

When we got out of MRT in Buendia station, he asked me if I know where Roxas Ave is, I told him I’ve heard the name of the place but I don’t know how to go there. Anyway, we just rode a cab and he told the manong driver to drop us near ‘Boom na Boom’. Once we got to the place, I became acquaited again with the area since infront of it is the World Trade Center, where I first attended our annual company party. We drop by infront of ‘Wensha Spa’ and we were immediately attended by the guard outside who is kind enough to offer us with umbrella since it’s raining. At the lobby, there were already a lot of patrons, choosing the services they want. Jonas paid for us and as soon as we change our flip flops with the spa’s slippers we headed straight to the dining area. True enough, as what Jonas said, the spa offers eat-all-you-can service as long as you are not going to have any left-overs or else you’ll be charge an additional 300php. Jonas show me what ’shabu-shabu’ is. He cooked sliced beef, squid balls and I think the other one is a chicken ball to a small stove allotted to each table. The dinner was good! I love shabu-shabu.

Afterwards, we went straight to our designated changing area. We went to separate rooms this time since we can’t go together. I was amazed with the locker because it was so nice, it’s sensorized wherein all you have to do is stick the round button-like on the handband that was given to us before we enter the premises to another round button stick to the locker and voila, the locker will automatically open. The attendant gave me a towel and at first I was kinda hesitant to change because I was surrounded with strangers and most of the people I saw were Koreans. But so much for shyness, we paid 680php each so I must maximize the services they’ve got there.

First stop: Shower area. I have to asked the spa attendant what are the things I need to do since it was my first time to go there. I also befriended two girls I’ve met at the locker area so that my first time spa experience will not be boring and also to have someone I can talk to. After the shower, I got my bathrobe and then I’ve soaked to the warm pool.It was so relaxing. I really felt that my skin pores were all opening. I’ve also tried the jacuzzi but I haven’t last there for I think more than 2 minutes since the jacuzzi room was really freaking hot! Or I’m just really not used to it?!

After, the shower area, hot pool and jacuzzi, me and my two new friends went straight to the massage area where we were ushered to two different rooms. While waiting for my masseur, I was thinking and hoping that I’ll get through this whole process because just the thought of the word ‘massage’ makes me feel ticklish already. But then I survived it. My masseur was so nice and gentle and I think she exerted a lot of effort in stretching my body. And another thing, that amazed me was that she was able to carry me as part of the body massage procedure. And by the way, I choose ginger oil for my body. The massage itself is really relaxing. It was like rewarding myself for doing something good. The massage I think lasted for about an hour. And it was all worth it. After the massage, we ate again and we stayed there for another hour since we can stay there for 6 hours max. It was still raining outside but I can’t help smiling because my bestfriend let me experienced this massage thing. We went home around 10pm. The travel is long but just the thought of having someone who cares for you plus the massage experience already covers all the stress and hustle of the whole day. Ü

Kaibigan

 Ang totoo, ang gusto kong sabihin, malungkot ako. Nagtatampo. Nagtatampo ako kasi feeling ko nag-iisa ako palagi. Pathetic. Pero iyon talaga ang nararamdaman ko. Nagtatampo ako sa bestfriend ko kasi, oo nga lagi nga kaming magkasama pero pakiramdam ko nagsosolo lang ako kapag magkasama kami parang wala lang. Ni hindi ko mahawakan kamay nya kapag nalulungkot ako. Hindi ko masandalan balikat nya kapag antok na antok na ako at gusto ko sanang sumandal muna lalo na kapag nasa bus kami. Nagtatampo ako kasi hindi ko iyon magawa pero bakit pag ibang tao pwede.  Siguro nalulungkot lang talaga ako. Pero hindi ko na ito dapat iniisip dahil lalo lang sasama loob ko. Kahit masakit at nasasaktan ako dahil feeling ko I’m always taken for granted, I will always be here for him. I will always understand and care for him. Mahal ko iyon eh. Mahal na mahal…Ü

I am Me

Looking at the white lights above me, well, it gives me an idea on I want to write here. Since this is just my new blog site and I was already able to jot down two blog entries here, let me then add it with something about myself.

I am 21. The age of enjoying my singlehood and embracing life with all the possibilities that it is gving me. I am a simple woman who got simple aspirations in life. I just want everyone around me to be happy. I learned the importance of responsibility at a young age since I’m the eldest in the family. And I’m glad that I’m young but I’m ahead among my age.

I am a lover but let me tell you, I haven’t been into any romantic relationship yet but I’m not rushing things. I know that can wait and there’s an individual who is meant for me. As they say, patience is a virtue. And I am willing to wait but I don’t know till when.LOL! Whenever my friends told me that I need to look for someone to love and that it’s such a great feeling to have someone who will reciprocate the feeling, I always told them, of course I know that! But then, I am still waiting for the right person. Anyways, so much for that stuff. Waiting and loving is at the least of my list to do’s as of this time.

I am a career-woman. I started young. I want to grow and learn more about the things that I am doing right now. And I think so far I am learning. I am enjoying my job. I love my officemates and everyday is a new challenge for me. Going to office was never a hard thing for me to do. Currently, even though I’m facing something that might affect my daily concentration, what I am doing is that I am just focusing myself on what I can do better next time and that I had already learned my lessons, so I will not do it again. Certainly. Everyone, has his/her own share of failures, trials and hardships but still it is never late to get up once you stumbled, learned from that mistakes and move on!

I am a friend.  Friends? Well, let me carry the bench and shout, I HAVE LOTS OF THEM! I love them soooo much! Literally. I treasure them and I must say I am blessed to have them. As your friend, I can give you a hug when bad thing strikes. I may not be a good adviser when it comes to sharing their problems as they expect me to be but then I still hope that they’ll get something from whatever I am going to say. Hmmm…I can make you smile (it’s one of my talent, yeah!). I love it when other people laugh whenever I crack I jokes eventhough it’s corny or cheesy. I love it whenever I feel that someone appreciate me. If you’re my friend, thank you so much!

I am a daughter and an ate. I am part of a simple but happy family. Sometimes, we argue, which is normal, but then I love them with my whole life. My love for them is never-ending. They are my sanctuary, inspiration, my everything. At one point, I’ve been a not-so-good-daughter and ate but I of course, I AM NOT PERFECT. Yes! I am not. But for my family, I’ll do everything. Needless to say, I owe them a lot. Thanks for the good genes! Yeah!

I am a dreamer. I will always be. But then dreams need to be put into action to make it into a reality. Time to make those dreams come true. I’ve learned to believe in myself and that I can do something.

I am a traveller. I enjoyed packing my bags and exploring the other side of the town. Since, I am a city-girl cum jologs all my life, I love the scent of grass and the feeling that finally there is another sight to see aside from high rise building and seem-no-ending highways. I love the beach, the waves. I love to see mountains and green scenery. I am a certified “lakwatsera.”

Again, I am me. I love life. The simple pleasures. My ups and dows. The learning along the way which makes me a better person. Everyday is a celebration. Yo!

Takipsilim

Akalain mo madilim na pala sa labas. Kanina pa pala ako nakaupo dito sa mataas na upuang dilaw at nagmumuni-muni kung ano bang bagay na background at theme para sa i.ph at multiply sites ko. Naubusan na ako ng kantang gustong marinig sa youtube. Ayun madilim na nga sa labas.

Nagugutom, na pala ako. Balak ko sanang kumain at umuwi na. Takipsilim na kasi.

Today

Today Frank was able to sit beside me again even though he’s late  since the past two days,my seatmate was Ruther. He read some qoutes which somehow touches the truth of life. We were able to do our usual chit-chat mode and we sing once in a while.

It’s not really high call today and since we are not doing anything most of the time, we usually share some gags together. Frank and the rest was doing cut-outs for the crepe paper chain, I don’t really know what that’s for. Als,o Ali and Bambi share their bus adventure and I’ve checked some infos in Wikipedia (thanks to this and I was able to avoid the boredom mode) hehehe.

 At lunch, I went to our usual spot after we ate, the net corner in the office, wherein we can browse our social networking sites and we can do some blogs like this. I’m glad that my two office-daughters, Ar and Kristel,  was able to share this new blog host to me. This seems to be really fun.
